Building upon the vision and mission of the Laboratory for Science of Technologies for End-to-End Enablement of Data (STEED), Dr. Rada Chirkova, STEED Director, is pleased to announce the development of a new membership-based research and service consortium, the Alliance for Innovative Data Analytics (AIDA). The broader mission of AIDA is to promote an integrated approach to transformational problem solving, supporting the growth and advancement of the North Carolina agribusiness industry through innovative, data-driven knowledge-discovery solutions and research.
We recognize that solving the challenges of agribusiness will require new and innovative techniques for analyzing and visualizing data from multiple sources, some public and some private, while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of each data source. The cornerstone of AIDA will be leveraging our expertise at the nexus of advanced analytics, secure multi-party computation, and cutting-edge agricultural research. By securely and privately integrating proprietary data with other sources, AIDA will help agribusiness organizations identify and deliver innovative solutions to farmers and producers.
AIDA will be a university-level membership consortium providing both precompetitive research results and contract-based proprietary analytics services. AIDA industry member dues will fund use-inspired and member-guided pre-competitive research projects. AIDA members will also receive discounts and elevated priority for contracted services.
